Did you know that the London Marathon is the Guinness World Records’ largest annual fundraising event in the world? Or that the event itself holds a Guinness World Record for one-day charity fundraising .. a record it has broken each year for the past eight years?!

Until just recently, neither did we. However, we now know almost everything there is to know about this world-famous run-fest. Because, after numerous half-marathons and previous unsuccessful applications to run ‘the big one’, our MD Adam finally has his chance to take part in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2016 on Sunday 24th April.

Adam will be joining the thousands of other people (around 37,500 in 2015) from various different backgrounds, with different abilities and goals – to run in this prestigious event. Adam will be running with our good friend and Dentists’ Provident client Sarah ‘Bradders’ Bradbury. Getting up ridiculously early to train in the cold, wet and dark, and beset by on-and-off health issues, Adam and Sarah are now raring to go. Their chosen charity is the Surrey Care Trust, and it’s this that will be spurring them both on as they pound the familiar streets of our capital city.

Now, about that record-breaking fundraising. It would be fantastic if we could all try and help the London Marathon break its own record for another year. Wouldn’t it?

You can find further details about the Surrey Care Trust and how you can make a difference to the lives of those who benefit from it by heading over to Adam’s “OMG, I’m running the London Marathon” JustGiving page. Here’s the link:

Thank you so much. It means a lot.
